EXPLORE THE PEARL OF AFRICA

THE TUK TUK ADVENTURE CLUB

ON A GLORIFIED TRICYCLE

WHAT IS IT?

The first event of its kind to take place in Africa. A two-week expedition through the East African landscapes, driven entirely by you in a vehicle that has no business being there. Experience all the country has to offer, with the freedom to do it your way. All while raising crucial funding for those who need it most.

WHERE IS IT?

Set in the heart of East Africa, Uganda is a land of waterfalls, savannah, mountain forests and some of the most extraordinary wildlife on Earth.

THE VEHICLE

Very rarely seen beyond the busy streets of Kampala, brave the wilderness as the locals look on in awe at your humble steed, unsure whether to believe their eyes.

A tuk tuk is, in theory, the perfect road trip vehicle — the freedom of a motorcycle with the camaraderie of a car. Small enough to feel adventurous, big enough to bring your team along for the chaos. It’s intimate, slightly impractical, and ridiculously good fun.

Is this a sensible idea? Probably not.

Will you have the experience of a lifetime? Absolutely.

into the wild

Experience the natural beauty of the country they call "The Pearl of Africa" with a vast offering of sightseeing and excursions. Pre-booking will be available with our trusted guide Heidy Zikereta to make sure you don't miss out.

Funds raised in support of Alongside Africa will go towards one of their established programmes. Through education sponsorship for vulnerable children, support for community savings groups, and vocational training for young women, the charity empowers children and families to break free from desperate circumstances and build sustainable, long-term futures. Each initiative is committed not simply to provide short-term relief, but to create meaningful opportunities for individuals to help themselves.

Those taking part will have the opportunity to visit the charity and witness first-hand the direct and tangible impact their fundraising is helping to achieve.

As a streamlined and locally rooted organisation, Alongside Africa is able to maximise the impact of every donation, allowing funds to go further where they are needed most.
